Danny Wade and I did Crescent Bay to Remarkable Cave in a big half day with kayak support from Leigh Redding. It took 8hrs, it was a light NE wind with about 1-2m of swell. I think it was up to grade 16 however we did swim a couple of the harder sections. The climbing was fun, there was mostly deep water however some sections with rocks and ledges. I would say an EPIRB, kayak support and confident good weather forecast are essential. Both a bit tired from the weekends activities we slept in and went highlining and only got to the carpark around midday. Sharing Danny's scooter to Cresent bay we bombed the hills bare chested with grins ear to ear. Danny said that we could bail out before we committed to Dauntless - but after seeing the chossy escape gully I think this is best done all in one go.  There was a couple dicey swims before getting to Mt Brown and the climbing was mostly slab. Going into Mt Brown was the best bit by far, about 10m up on steep terrain with jugs and really deep water for quite a while, passing the I've Heard It All Before anchors. However the friendly deep water becomes less friendly when you are swimming underneath Mt Brown and it was very nice having a kayak with us as I felt like less of a small fish doggy paddling next to it. Dauntless was pretty fun mostly slab climbing. As we got back to Remarkables we were watching perfect 3ft right tubes roll through the cove so I hopped on the back of Leighs kayak to share some crystal caverns and top off a great afternoon.
